Morphine
Brad had some friends visiting and started acting totally goofy, like he was out of it. I thought he was just kinda play-acting. After Beth, the friends and I all left, Rhonda said he was still acting out of it and wouldn’t hold the phone up to his ear. He was continuing to say goofy things and act spaced out.
The nurse who adjusted his morphine after we moved to the fifth floor had a hard time doing it, so we were worried that it’s still not right. I watched him and he never hit the pump while his friends were here.
Rhonda called while I was writing this. She said that she had the nurse come down and check the machine just now. it is still delivering the right amount. He had a muscle relaxer also, but he also had one yesterday and it didn’t affect him this way. Her theory and the nurse’s theory is that sitting up in the chair flat wore him out. I don’t know….
